About Us

Designation: The name “Boiling Point Gospel Centre” is derived from a God’s given desperation for a Christ–likeboiling-point-members ministry; which is exceptionally and expediently characterized by the anointed grand design of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ Himself said, “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?”(Lu 12:49).

And actually, the Holy Spirit’s Baptism by Jesus includes the kindling as of fire. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles with cloven tongues of fire resting on each of them. (Acts 2:3). There are also similar prophesies in the following passages. (Is.48:10; Zech. 13:9).

The seeming deepening helpless and hopeless scenario engulfing the church and society today calls for a consistent and violent demand for a firebrand revivalists. And so our slogan: “Let the Fire keep Burning and let the Vessels keep Boiling!”
Historical Background: In 1981, a church band which was later to be known as” The New Life Singers” was formed by the Pastor of the church. This group became zealous for evangelistic outreaches. It later expanded and many young believers from different denominations joined it. Due to this expansion, the name was changed to “The Newlifers” that is, those who propagate the New Life.

Focus: In general terms, our focus had been strictly evangelistic. With God on our side, the ministry had organized many Crusades, Prayer Retreats, missionary outreaches, church planting, music concerts, seminars/workshops etc; and severally in partnership with ministries of like minds. Recently, to be precise, from 2007 till today.

OUR FOCUS

In general terms, our focus had been strictly evangelistic. With God on our side, the ministry had organized many Crusades, Prayer Retreats, missionary outreaches, church planting, music concerts, seminars/workshops etc; and severally in partnership with ministries of like minds.

Recently, to be precise, from 2007 till today;  the Lord had graciously narrowed down our focus or vision; to strictly look at the earthly ministry of Jesus and to follow his footsteps as obtained in the following scriptures:

a) “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (Jn.14:12)

b) “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”(Jn. 7:16) Also, 8:28; 10:38; 12:49; 14:20; 17:21,23.

c) “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Mt.4:17)  Also, Mt 10:7 Lu 21:31.

d) “And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of       all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mk.11:17); Here is Christ’s non-approval of temple abuse! He is constantly checking each individual believer’s temple; ensuring that holiness upholds the church’s intergrity.

e) “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the       Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (Jn.4:23)
The Lord’s disapproval of places of worship at designated or traditional locations (vss.20-21) but true worship is from the heart; each believer is now the temple of God.f)  “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” (Jn.16:7) Also, Jn. 7:39; 14:16,26; 15:26; Ac 2:33; Eph 4:8.
The constant infilling with the Holy Spirit for effectiveness, walking and abiding in Him is a great necessity to the believer.

g)     “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is     preached, and every man presseth into it.” (Lk.16:16) Also, Mt. 11:12. The task of       propagating the gospel of the kingdom; the its fierce spiritual enforcement is handed over to the church.

There are many more references, but our present preference stops here. So, in summary; we are resolutely strict and focused on prayer, soul winning and making disciples, walking and abiding in the Spirit so that the expected impact in the church and society will continue by supernatural means which is the ultimate thrust of the gospel of the kingdom the Lord handed over to us.
